Who are A1 Training?
A1 Training is a division of A1 Hire & Sales, Dorset's leading independent hire company in the field of industrial plant, tool and machinery hire. The Company has been training and assessing the competence of operators since 1984, including training to national standards such as I.P.A.F. and P.A.S.M.A.

What type of equipment do they train on?
A1 uses a wide range of industrial, engineering and construction equipment for training and assessment. This can also include customer's own plant and equipment as appropriate where courses are then tailored to meet specific needs.

Where are the courses held?
Courses are conducted either at the A1 Training centre at Poole which can accommodate up to 15 persons or alternatively courses can be located at customer's premises when there are suitable classroom and training areas.

When are the courses held?
A1 Training aim to give a highly individual approach to a customer's training needs. Training programmes are drawn up with the constraints of staff availability in mind to ensure that customer's normal production staff numbers are not compromised.

How much does the training cost?
Depending on the number of persons being trained, the cost can be as low as £25 per person for a short course. A half day course cost would start at around £300, depending on the number of persons. The national standard courses, which also normally involve a national licence registration fee, vary from about £100 to £160 per person per day.
