A1 Training is the specialist training division of A1 Hire & Sales and have been providing training and assessing the competence of operators in the Dorset & Hampshire areas for over 25 years.

Our highly experienced trainers who posses a wide range of skill sets are now operating from the new training centre. The new training centre has recently opened with more training rooms and a new practical area. We have all the equipment available to provide the training you require in the right environment for learning and development.

	IPAF MEWPs for Operators This course provides delegates with the essential knowledge and skills required for safe and efficient operation of MEWPS.		Service Cable and Pipe locating C.A.T. This course covers the basic principles involved with locating underground service cables and pipes including an overview of the types of problems delegates regularly encounter and how to solve them.
	IPAF MEWPs Safety Harness This course enables IPAF MEWPS Safety Harness operators to identify and select the correct form of Safety Harness and lanyard, then be able to inspect, maintain, monitor, fit and use them correctly		Abrasive Wheels (type 41, 42 & 27) This course provides delegates with an understanding of current legislation and demonstrates the correct safe fitting and use of abrasive wheels in compliance with the manufacturers instructions.
	IPAF MEWPS for Managers This course enables the supervisor or manager of what is required to prepare for and safely co-ordinate various types of MEWPs within their control.		Portable Appliance Tester This course provides an introduction to the principles of and the requirements for the testing of portable tools & appliances, to comply with the 1989 electricity at works Regulations and Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE) Code of Practice.
	IPAF PAV Operator This course enables delegates to become competent in the operation of various PAV platforms safely. Learning skills such as pre-inspection and the correct operation of equipment will help avoid potential accidents.		Manual Handling The course provides delegates with the underlying knowledge required to minimise risks associated with manual handling whilst practical exercises provide the opportunity to apply the principles of safer handling.
	PASMA Mobile Access Tower Delegates will gain an understanding of current relevant legislation and be able to erect, inspect, move and dismantle mobile access towers safely, to the latest build specification.		Working at Height (Ladders & Step Ladders) This course is designed to give advice on the safe and effective use of portable ladders and steps. It also introduces other equipment designed to provide a safe working environment at heights where ladders & stepladders are not necessarily the right equipment to use.
